We have many farm animals and pets, willing volunteers can help feed and look after the animals & pets, groom and help with our many friendly horses and ponies.
Come in the spring and see all the baby lambs.
We are sorry but we cannot accept dogs or any pets to stay in the Mobile Home.
Come and enjoy the quiet tranquillity of the countryside around you. Numerous walks and local places of interest with fishing, golf, sandy/pebble beaches only minutes away.

"Our second visit to your wonderful Mobile Home and we loved it just as much as the first time, from the outstanding views to the great hospitality, we have had such a brilliant week and we will without doubt return. Thank you Alison and Steven."
The Bentleys
Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay and for letting the kids 'help out'. The views are incredible and we hope to return. Nat and Nick.
The Rose Family
We absolutely LOVED it! The view out of the window is spectacular! Most of all we loved having the horses right outside the house! We will miss them!! Thank you for letting us experience life on a horse farm.
Ps Tell Willow and Gregory that we had an awesome time!

Never been to this area before but we will be back as soon as we can! Thank you Alison for fitting us in. The caravan, the view were absolutely fantastic. Feeding the little white pony every day was a delight. Can recommend the Hare & Hounds, visit Branscombe (tight roads!).. need longer next time!! The Wildlife - Try and sit out at dusk - two tawny owls swooped in front of the caravan.. and after a night of rain a deer spotted grazing nearby too!! Managed to see swallows all day too before they flew off to warmer climes.

A great stay in the beautiful East Devon countryside. Loved everything about it. Hope to come back sometime soon.

We visited Devenish Pitt Farm and Riding School & instantly fell in love with the place. We stayed in the mobile home & we were in awe of the views of the surrounding countryside. Alison & family were so lovely & accommodating, with nothing too much trouble. The children were in their oils with the horse riding lessons, which were fantastic. The huge outdoor area was a massive hit & it was so relaxing to sit on the decking & watch them run & play. We have already booked a return visit for next year & are soon to book in another weekend for this autumn. I can see us returning here regularly for holidays for years & years to come, it definitely quickly became one of our favourite places to be. Thank you, Caroline, Ben, Ava, Oscar & Mason

A review of the caravan and stables. We loved our week there. The peace and quiet, the desirable views and the wonderful and friendly horses. The helpers were so friendly and welcoming. I had a lovely time on Gregory and Harvey. The other horses are lovely too. I made a lot of progress and improved a lot during the week. We very much enjoyed it there and we hope to come again soon

We have had a great holiday. The children have loved helping with the horses and playing in the garden. Amazing view to wake up to every day. Rain or shine we have loved it. We recommend the Yellow Deli in town they do amazing sandwiches & soup! Thank you for being so welcoming :)

“The view is amazing. Watch the clouds and stars go by in silence. I even had the opportunity to film the wild deer that roamed through the grounds. Very chilled and peaceful place. Recommended by me”

"We have had a lovely week here. The caravan is superb with amazing views from the decking - we even managed a bit of star spotting one evening! The children have absolutely loved the farm and are going to miss all the animals - Thanks so much!"

"Devenish Pitt is a fantastic place to stay, whether you want a base so you can explore the Jurassic coast etc or you want to visit and experience a working farm/riding school Devenish Pitt is perfect.
The views are extraordinarily breathtaking, the mobile home is in just the right position to really make the most of it, with decking you can enjoy breakfast lunch and/or dinner with the perfect backdrop. The mobile itself has everything you need and is kept in pristine condition.
There is plenty of space and set walks for all capabilities. We did not have a car but we felt we had plenty to do on the farm for a few days break with the opportunity to learn how to groom, care and even ride a horse. My son also had great fun helping Mr Banks the farmer with checking the sheep and moving them to different fields on his buggy.
We can't forget Cookie the dog who is always around for a tummy scratch or to just sit on your lap, be sure to take the opportunity to draw your very on portrait of Cookie and add it to the collection. There are plenty more pets around the farm to see.
Alison is not only a fantastic host who will do all she can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible she is also extremely patient with those with little or no equestrian experience or even special needs like my son who has high Autism.
Alison and Steven really go above and beyond, thank you! Hope to see you next year."

"Just perfect! A beautiful setting, peace, quiet and such friendly people. Plenty of delightful places to visit only 5-10mins away. Recommend the Hare & Hounds 3mins away for food and the electric tramway Seaton to Colyton and then lunch at the only pub in town the Kingfisher! Fresh fish caught by the owner."
Rebecca
"What an amazing place. For two friends with high profile jobs this is exactly what our children and us needed. A one night stay at this place has felt like a week abroad! Lovely seeing all the animals and birds flying around. Excellent facilities, amazing shower, comfy bedding and pillows, lush towels and tea and coffee provided and more. The only thing I could have wished for was to be able to stay for a week. The most amazing time ever. Thank you so much."
Emma and family
"We had a lovely stay at the caravan. Alison was a friendly and helpful host and the caravan was very clean and welcoming. The location is excellent and the views superb. There were lots of helpful flyers in the folder in the caravan and it was great to have a lovely outside table and chairs and the use of a BBQ (although we didn't use it). There is also plenty of safe space for children to run around. If you like cider pop down the road to Bovey's Down Farm."
Adrian
Awesome hospitality, views, and a very quiet location.

Alison is a great host, she helped us with everything from local tips to all the little details, we had a great time. The accommodation is exactly as described, really clean and tidy with amazing views. Their home is a such a special place. Completely loved our stay, will have to come back!

100% recommend a stay in this lovely caravan with the most incredible views over beautiful Devonshire countryside. Wonderful space for the kids to run around outside, and ours loved getting to meet the horses and the new lambs during our stay. The caravan is superbly kitted out with everything you might need and was really cosy even on the colder days with a good gas fire. Alison and her husband were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and gave us loads of great information on local places to visit. Fully recommend a riding lesson too which is right on site and great fun for all the family (including beginners as we were!). Need a car to explore but lots of fantastic places to visit within 30 mins including Charmouth (recommend booking a fossil hunting walk in advance online at The Charmouth Heritage Centre), Lyme Regis, Beer, Branscombe and Sidmouth. One of the best holidays we've had in ages and we'll definitely be going back!
The Jemmett Garels QLD Australia
A beautiful stay the countryside is so stunning, the lambs are so precious. It's very nice to go walking through the fields around talking to the sheep and their lambs. Very warm and cozy inside and so GREEN outside!! Thank you Alison we had a wonderful time! The kids loved to play with the animals. What a treat for us all!

Alison was the perfect host, giving us plenty of info about the local area, everything that we needed was supplied and the whole place was extremely clean and well presented. The views are stunning from the accommodation and the surrounding area is beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Great welcome and wonderful views. We loved being allowed to hold the baby Lambs. A lovely getaway.
Sarah
Beautiful location and very well equipped static caravan. Really felt like we properly got away. So lovely to look at the rolling hills each morning when we woke up. Very peaceful place and lovely hosts.
The Halloms
We had a wonderful holiday. My children enjoyed 3 riding lessons each. The instructors at the stables are lovely and friendly. The view is the most beautiful we have ever seen from a caravan. Our lives are pretty hectic back home so it was nice to truly relax and unwind. We enjoyed the walks recommended by Alison and a lovely pub meal at the Hare & Hounds just up the road. Couldn't fault our stay. We would definitely come back.

Lovely couple of days stay for work. Nice and clean and perfectly comfortable for the 4 of us. Splendid view. Will be back!

"We arrived in the dark to a well lit, warm and cosy home. We woke to the wonderful views and friendly horses. This it the most relaxed week-end we've had in months. Beautiful surroundings, well equipped and comfy home, obliging and helpful hostess ... what more do we need?” Many thanks.
The Mayson Family
"Thank you. We had a great time. If we were able to give 10 stars out of 5 for location we would have done! Your notes about walks and general amenities in the area are first class... by far the best we've seen in any holiday let”
Mark and family, Bristol
One of the most memorable stays we've had. My daughter wanted to celebrate her 8th Birthday in style and stay in a caravan somewhere nice. Alison's home is not just "nice"...it's really amazing! The caravan is much bigger than we expected and had everything we needed, and was really nice and cosy, but as we arrived late (not an issue for Alison) we didn't get to see it's surroundings until morning. When we threw open the curtains before heading off for riding lessons we were literally lost for words! One of the most beautiful settings of any home we've been to. My daughter said it was the best Birthday ever and wants to go back as soon as possible. She's right!” Thank you so much for our stay and making Elora's Birthday so special!
Gary & Shiela
Thank you for lovely accommodation. We enjoyed our weekend break and wish we could've stayed longer at this nice stop with you Alison, thanks. Very good equipped caravan.

Such a beautiful and relaxing stay in this peaceful part of Devon. We will miss the view from the window and the quietness that we have enjoyed over this week. Lovely walks in the countryside around the farm and on local beaches. (Beer is a must!) The children enjoyed mornings at the stables and visits from Cookie and Spice have been enjoyed by us all. Thank you.
The Chen Family, Bristol
We feel abundantly blessed to have spent our summer holiday here! So peaceful and tranquil with views of ‘area of outstanding natural beauty’ from our windows. Something for everyone to do; the children enjoyed horse riding, playing with the dogs and running around exploring the farm. A convenient location to explore other local attractions (Beer Caves, Donkey Sanctuary) and the beaches! We couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you Alison and Steven.
Joanna Lorenz
Gorgeous spot in deep Devon countryside with amazing views, mobile home comfy and clean and perfect for walking and of course riding opportunities as the horses are just steps away. We loved our brief stay - gorgeous spot in the country and very impressed by the stables, thanks very much.

This location is paradise - if everyone could access somewhere this magical the world would be a better place! Everyone and every creature here is so warm & friendly. People aren't like that anymore where we live & most of the wildlife has gone. You are truly blessed & so were we to be given the opportunity to share your bliss - thank you so very much - we take a piece of this Grace home within our hearts forever. PS Can we move in??!!
Wendy & Jurgen, The Netherlands
What an amazing place! Beautiful views as far as you can see. Two weeks of sunshine. It's a walker's paradise, beaches with fossils (we think Charmouth is the best), woodland, fields. Saw buzzards, red kites and albino deer from the caravan deck. One evening we saw a badger in the second field from the caravan. Went riding with Alison which was great. Alison and Steven you live in a beautiful place never forget that! You're very lovely people and we had a great time xxx Good tip The Otter Inn at Weston EX143NZ Great food, v nice garden with a stream to play in for the kids.

Back to reality for us. We had a lovely time and your caravan is spotlessly clean with everything that you need and homely little extras. The views are stunning and sat here now in our house looking out onto the street (and the streetlight haha) we so wish we were back there. It's raining here as well!! Many thanks for your friendly welcome and allowing us the freedom to explore all over your land and meeting the animals. I miss the silence and the darkness. Hope to see you again.

Review: "WHAT A VIEW, WHAT A LOCATION with most helpful and friendly owners. The caravan is very well fitted with all the home comforts you need, TV, DVD, Video and all kitchen utensils. The living area is very comfortable, plenty of room for us to spread out with room to spare. All bedrooms have lots of storage space and also are very comfortable. There is a large toilet/shower room. But the best thing about the caravan is where it is situated; Devenish Pitt is a working farm and riding school. The Caravan looks straight down the Coly Valley and its character changes all the time with changing weather conditions. It is the only caravan at the farm and is situated privately behind the farm buildings at the side of a large grassed garden. The Farm is located on a very quiet road with little traffic. We only met two cars on Sandpit Hill the whole week we were there. The Riding School is of renowned quality, it even has tourist “Brown Signs”, my wife and daughter rode three times during the week (indoor school and hacks). The rates are very good, especially if you are staying on site. We have no hesitation in recommending Devenish Pitt, as we are planning a return visit ourselves."
